I’m passionate about helping you fall in love with your imperfect business journey.

Hi, I’m Caro!

I’m the brand strategist and designer behind Lovegood Studio (she/her).

And I felt DEEPLY uncomfortable when I started offering my services to clients.

  • I had no idea what made my work different from others doing something similar

  • I had only a vague idea of who my ideal clients could be

  • I felt completely inadequate, unclear about everything, and unsure why anyone should want to pay to work with me

For every Instagram meme I read reminding me of the value of imperfection, there were about 10 thousand more reminders of perfectly curated, perfectly manicured, perfectly styled “authenticity” all around.

I desperately wanted to feel like I had it together, like I knew what I as doing. Why would anyone trust that I can help them, if I felt like I had no idea what I was doing?

I felt ashamed of what I didn’t know. And ashamed of feeling ashamed.

As in: if I can’t be confident in my ability and voice yet, why can’t I at least be a badass “boss babe” who doesn’t give a flying fluff about getting it wrong?

Yes…lovely feeling.

The Lovegood Studio that you see before you comes after over 6 years and 4 rebrands, endless procrastination, very very slow months, disorganized services, unclear messaging, straight up not talking or sharing about my business at all for years on end because I felt so unsure.

It comes after hard & uncomfortable work practicing, learning and improving a very wide range of skills, understanding and embracing my ADHD and its strengths and challenges, difficult client experiences that resulted from lack of boundaries and confidence…and I’m still far from where I want to be.

But I’m also so much closer than I used to be.

After over 15 years in marketing, working with everything from startups to Fortune 500 companies, my unique set of skills and experience in brand and marketing strategy, design, copywriting, entrepreneurship, Design Thinking and more, have converged into one clear concept:

Branding isn’t a one-and-done deal. It’s an ongoing, iterative practice and a powerful tool for incremental business growth.

I’m in love with the new Lovegood Studio and the journey that I continue to be on with it.

I’m here to help you fall in love with your imperfect business journey, too ♥︎

So, get your raincoat!

P.S. I can offer services in English, Spanish and Portuguese

There’s a saying I learned that time I went on a 10 hour hike up Trolltunga, in Norway (never having hiked a day before in my life. Yeah).

They say: “there’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing.”

Adorable, I know.

What does that have to do with branding?

Listen, the truth is there’s no way to completely get rid of all that uncertainty, fear and procrastination that comes with starting our own business.

That’s just the weather we’re going to get.

What we can do is embrace it, and grab a couple of things to prepare.

…by which I mean using experimental approach to branding (and marketing and business development) that actually turns uncertainty into an asset, not and anxiety, so you can naturally uncover the secret sauce that only you can provide for your clients.

.…but that metaphor was clear, right? ;)

So c’mon! Get your raincoat and let’s go dance in the rain!

Well, that’s nice and all,

but what about actual “credentials” and all that jazz?

Ok, since you asked…

15+ Years in Marketing

Working with a brilliant agency out of Boston since leaving college many years ago, I’ve had the opportunity to learn marketing from some of the best in the industry. I started out writing copy, designing graphics and websites, creating pitch decks, and developing hundreds of blog posts, social media content and online and print ads. Then I was creating & implementing strategies, and designing & running multi-channel campaigns and promotions while managing world-wide teams. I’ve worked with businesses across industries, from startups to small local businesses to Fortune 500 companies & national US consumer brands, helping them increase market share, delight audiences and become more customer-centric.

Degrees & Trainings

I have a degree in Sociology and International Relations from Tufts University, and I’m trained in Customer-Centricity, in Strategyzer and in Human-Centered Design from Ideo & +Acumen, which was what sparked my fascination with Design Thinking and Agile frameworks.

While specializing in branding, I taught myself by devouring countless books and courses on brand & marketing strategy, positioning, copywriting and graphic design, including the Color Psychology for Designers course from Fiona Humberstone, and by working with clients directly and honing my skills over the past 7 years.

I have a resources page coming soon where I’ll link to some of my favorite books and courses, for those who are also interested in learning more.

Lifelong learning FTW!

Expansive Curiosity

Honestly, I think this is one of my most important qualities and should totally count as a credential.

I’m originally from Brazil and grew up in different countries throughout the Americas. In that time, exploration — from travel to self, from interpersonal to societal — became big in my life.

I’m permanently in awe of existence itself and fascinated by everything (no doubt enhanced by that neurodivergence!). I’m constantly learning, constantly trying to view things from multiple perspectives, going from big picture to granular and back again. It makes life so interesting and brings a unique approach to my work.

Here at Lovegood Studio love reigns supreme, and our values are central in everything we do.
